In order to support the transportation of fans during the World Cup, Qatar has built the largest electric bus station - Lusai Depot bus station, which can accommodate 478 buses in it . Also this has been recorded in the Guinness World Records. The Depot bus station covers an area of more than 412000 square meters and is composed of 24 multi-purpose buildings. The Depot is the first car factory in the Middle East that relies on solar energy. It includes 11000 photovoltaic solar panels, which can generate electricity of 4MW every day. Qatar is located in a tropical desert climate, the daily sand is enough to cover the power generation surface of the solar panels. Also for sand, bird droppings and other garbage pollutants can be removed in a timely manner. This automatic cleaning mode minimizes the risk of workers working at heights, as well as the risk of hidden cracks and hot spots in photovoltaic modules.
