On September 12th, the Economic DevelopmentBureau of the Management Committee of the Zhangzhou Taiwan Merchants InvestmentZone in Fujian Province issued the "Opinions on Regulating theConstruction of rooftop Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Projects inOur District (Trial)", which clearly stated that if the following 9situations were found during project investigation, the roof should be deemedunsuitable for installation or the installation area should be reduced:

1. Old residential buildings that have beencompleted for over 25 years;

2. Buildings with structural, fire,electrical, and other safety risks;

3. Buildings with a risk assessment levelof C or D;

4. Buildings with roofs (including tiles,tile bearing structures, and roof platforms) that have been in disrepair for along time and pose structural and other safety risks;

5. Planned demolition or abandonedbuildings within five years;

6. Buildings with overall shaded roofs orlarge areas of shading around them;

7. Buildings with large dust, heat, andcorrosive gases on the roof or surrounding areas;

8. Buildings with fire hazards classifiedas Class A and Class B in production;

9. Areas that may reduce the sunlightstandards of adjacent buildings after installation.

This opinion will be implemented on a trialbasis from September 5, 2023, and is valid for one year.

Roofs that have avoided these conditionscan only be qualified to install photovoltaics, otherwise there may be safetyhazards, affecting residents' normal lives, or causing economic losses.
