China's photovoltaic product exports haveachieved remarkable results. According to data, from January to July 2023, theexport value of China's photovoltaic products reached 32 billion US dollars, ayear-on-year increase of about 6%, reaching a new historical high. Zhang Sen,Secretary General of the Photovoltaic Branch of the China Chamber of Commercefor Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, predicts that China'sphotovoltaic product exports are expected to approach $60 billion for theentire year of 2023, an increase of about 20% year-on-year due to factors suchas increased demand for photovoltaic installed capacity in Southeast Asia,Europe and America, Latin America, and other regions, insufficient supply ofN-type batteries, and a significant increase in the International EnergyAgency's expectations for global photovoltaic installed capacity.

In recent years, China's photovoltaicindustry has been plagued by frequent trade frictions. However, with theadvantages of the entire industry chain and industry scale that have beendeveloped for many years, China's photovoltaic industry still occupies adominant position in the international market.

At present, China's photovoltaicmanufacturing sector has three advantages: high industrial chain integrity,deep technological accumulation, and solid industrial foundation. Itsmanufacturing costs are lower than those of Europe and the United States, andit has been favored by the international market, "Zhang Sen said.According to calculations by the European Commission, the total cost ofphotovoltaic manufacturing in China is 35% lower than that in Europe, 20% and10% lower than that in the United States and India, respectively. Takingphotovoltaic module manufacturing as an example, the cost savings ofphotovoltaic module products produced in China are more than 50% compared tothose produced in the United States and the European Union.
