According to the China Daily, the latestdata, the installed scale of photovoltaic power generation in China continuedto grow rapidly in the first half of this year, with a new capacity of 78.42million kilowatts, accounting for 56% of the country's new power generationinstalled capacity. As of the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity ofphotovoltaic power generation was about 470 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower to become the second largest power source in China's installed capacity,second only to coal-fired power. At the same time, the amount of photovoltaicpower generation is also constantly increasing, and the overall consumption andutilization of photovoltaic power generation remain at a high level. In thefirst half of the year, the cumulative photovoltaic power generation reached266.3 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of about 30%, and theaverage utilization rate was about 98%.

In addition, the investment scale ofphotovoltaic power generation is also continuously increasing. In the firsthalf of the year, China's completed investment in photovoltaic power generationexceeded 130 billion yuan, accounting for about 50% of the total investment inrenewable energy, effectively promoting economic growth. Currently, China'sphotovoltaic industry ranks first in the world in terms of market size,technological level, production and manufacturing, as well as the improvementof the industrial chain, and its role in the economy and society is becomingincreasingly prominent. This year, there are also multiple million levelphotovoltaic bases accelerating construction, further promoting stable economicgrowth.
